After their first eventful day on their way to Shraevyn’s tomb, the group came across a dead body off to one side of the road, and determined that he had been attacked by Ethereal creatures known as thought-eaters. They then came to the Serpent Bridge and crossed, stopping afterwards for a short midday meal. As they progressed north, they were ambushed by a large group of orcs that they managed to fight off successfully.
After a while they had to head off cross-country in order to head to where the tomb had been seen. The group ran afoul of a stirge nest and killed every stirge they found. Soon enough they came to the tomb and as they made their way across the rough terrain to the entrance, a Zhent patrol rode out of the tress across the valley from the group. Two hooded figures gave orders to kill our adventurers and vanished. The party was successful in killing off the Zhents after a hard fought battle that saw Lhaenir near death during it.
The group then cautiously entered the tomb. After fighting off undead and solving a puzzle that dealt with the schools of magic (not going to go into details, on the off chance that someone reads this and their DM ends up running the same adventure at some point), the group finally found the Sword of the Dales that Randall Mourn had been after. A note attached to the sword stated that Randall could be found in the Spiderhaunt Woods and that he would like the sword delivered to him there.
